For the fifth issue of MERDE Magazine, Tori conceptualized, creative directed and executed an editorial shoot for Los Angeles-based brand Don Kaka.
In connection to the fifth issue's theme-- contra, or opposites-- Tori developed a shoot around the idea of old vs new. As Don Kaka is a brand which creates contemporary streetwear silhouettes from vintage fabrics, this shoot captured the idea of temporality, combining futuristic elements with old west Americana. The shoot featured one of Don Kaka's most exciting pieces to date, a jacket made from 150 year old textiles.
Tori developed the Creative Direction of the shoot, arranged a photographer, set and models, aligned on the concept with relevant parties, with MERDE partners overseeing the day of to ensure the concept came to life.
