CURATION, ARCHIVING & WRITING
MARCH 2020-SEPTEMBER 2021
In celebration of the one hundredth anniversary of Parisian fashion magazine L'Officiel, Tori was the first contributor to join this centennial book project in March 2020. The book is a compilation of L'Officiel's iconic past and impactful future through images and text.
As a key team member on this book project, Tori and her archival partner began during the earliest content development phase, researching through one hundred years of fashion magazine archives to help in constructing the book narrative. The resulting structure and content of the book is based entirely on this archival research.
After having developed the structure of the book, Tori and her partner selected images for all one hundred book topics, working with the graphic team to select final images that best reflected each theme. Tori's curation work shaped the visual identity of this book.
Finally, Tori and her team worked alongside interns in order to complete all text entries for each theme. These entries spoke to both fashion history and contemporary fashion in an engaging way to provide background and thought starters to the reader, making up the bulk of the publication.
L'Officiel 100: One Hundred People and Ideas from a Century of Fashion is available at most book retailers.
